A new civic integration or inburgering system comes into force which will be the responsibility of local authorities to organise.

The aim is to provide everyone who has to go through the system with a tailor-made approach and the language requirement will go up from A2 to B1.

Turkish nationals will also now have to go through an inburgering program.

 If you started/ start civic integration on /or after January 1, 2022, then you have 3 years for your participation statement and you do not need to take an ONA exam.

Your PIP states shows  which exams you have to take.

*People who came to the Netherlands before January 1, 2022 already know when their deadline is and that they must have language knowledge at level A2.
