  1. What courses does Inburgeringsexamens & Dutch language courses offer?

We offer courses basic civic integration exam (basisexamen inburgering A1), civic integration exam (inburgeringsexamen A2) and State Exam (Stateswomen B1, B2). You can take lessons for all language skills or just one skill (reading, writing, listening, speaking). Even if you don't wish to take an exam, you can follow a course to improve your Dutch. There are lessons in small groups (three to six students) or private lessons (one student).

 

  1. Where does the training take place?

All courses are offered in the virtual “classroom” online on the Zoom platform.

 

  1. When does the next course start?

A new group usually starts every six weeks. Sometime you can start immediately but sometime you should wait. We will keep you update after your registration so ahead.

 

  1. How long will my course last at Inburgeringsexamens & Dutch language courses?

 A separate module in a group lasts five or ten weeks. There are 10 lessons in total, two-times or once a week. Each lesson lasts 90 minutes. During the lesson you will receive an explanation of pronunciation and grammar. You are expected to learn independently and to do your homework for about three to four hours after each lesson.

In case of private lessons the number of lessons will be determined in consultation.

To comply with the entire program of Integration in the Netherlands, we recommend you to attend minimum 6 modules.

 

  1. Which tutors work at Inburgeringsexamens & Dutch language courses?

  1. What does a lesson look like?

During the lesson the tutor explains new curriculum: vocabulary and grammar.  You exercises the pronunciation and you build up your speaking skills. In the lesson you work a lot on improving grammar, so that you become more fluent in both writing and speaking.  All students receive individual approach and attention. You make your homework tasks. You come to the next session with questions about the material. You will also take tests and practice exams in class regularly. You will receive feedback from the tutor.

 

  1. Which books do I need?

You will have to purchase manuals for most of the courses. In some cases you will receive the learning materials from us. You  decide in consultation with the tutor what books are needed.

It’s your choice to purchase a new study books or to buy second hand books or you can borrow books from the library. Please don't purchase these books until your class has been confirmed!

 

  1. Does my teacher speak only Dutch in class?

Yes, during the lesson your tutor speaks Dutch as much as possible. With beginners tutors sometimes use other languages to explain words (English, French, German, Russian or Romanian).

 

  1. How much homework tasks do I get at a course?

You have twice as many hours doing homework then the number of teaching hours. Suppose you have two hours, then you count four to six hours of homework. This is an estimated time, there are individual differences. Lessons in our small groups are very intense and you need to do your homework.

 

  1. How much time is required to learn Dutch?

That depends on several factors. Personal language learning skills, time spent on homework, speaking Dutch outside of school etc. etc. Most of integrators need 500 teaching hours to pass all six parts of the exam.  Under good circumstances students reach A2 level in four to six months.

 

  1. How big are the groups at the Inburgeringsexamens & Dutch language courses?

We work with small groups and we offer personalized education. The group consist maximum 6 students.

 

  1. Can I still participate if the course has already begun?

Yes, you can always enroll if there is room.

 

  1. Can I learn independently and come to you only for exam training?

Yes, that's possible. If you have level A2. You are always welcome to choose a module.

 

  1. How big should my budget be to pass the Intrgrationexam?

We have competitive market prices for our services. We have done our best to make the prices accessible. Look further at the prices for ours courses . 

 

  1. What do I have to pay?

A module of 10 lessons in a group (4 - 6 participants) costs from €215,- to €270,-

* If you pay for two modules in advance or if you bring a student along, you will receive a 5% discount on one module.

Private lessons cost €300,- for ten hours. 

An intensive study week costs €550,-. You have five days 10 meetings twice a day. Each session lasts 120 minutes.

Two intensive study weeks (20 meetings) cost €1130,-.

An ONA portfolio workshop costs €250,-.

If you prefer to learn together with a friend or a family member then each of you will benefit a discount of 20% from €30/ hour.

 

  1. When do I have to pay?

You pay for the lessons prior to the course. You ensure timely payment. Course fee which has been paid will not be refunded.

  1. Do I have to pay for the course myself?

Yes. The government does not pay for your integration course. Sometimes your employer pays your course.

  1. Are the costs of my integration course tax deductible?

Maybe. If you are studying to improve your professional opportunities, your study can be partly deductible. You must check it. Sometimes your bookkeeper can deduct the cost of your integration course with your tax return.

  1. Do I have to pay VAT for the lessons? No, you do not pay VAT. (*Vrijstelling voor algemeen vormend onderwijs)
  2. If I miss a lesson, can I make it up on another day?

Unfortunately not if you take a group lesson. We work with a tight course schedule and it is binding, but you will receive the homework assignments from us.

If you do not come to a planned class, the class will still be charged. You always plan one month ahead which sessions you come to class.

 

  1. How often do I take lessons?

You will in general have twice or once a week lessens. Would you like to have extra classes or do you need a special intensive training? That's possible!

 

  1. Does Inburgerinsexamens & Dutch language courses have the Quality Mark (Keurmerk) Inburgering (the quality mark Blik op Werk)?

No, we don’t. This means that you cannot receive a loan from Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO) anymore if you start your course with us.

 

  1. Can I trust Inburgeringsexamens & Dutch language courses?

We are small and nice organisation. You can see the feedback from our  students in “References”.

 

24. How expensive are integration exams ?

According to the officials website  the Integration exams costs are approximately  €350.00.  
The participation posses  declaration costs € 150. www.inburgeren.nl
